Libby's Sponsorship Page
Libby (and her sister Star) ended up with us through no fault of her own. Unfortunately, the only family she's ever known is going through a divorce. One of the previous owners desperately wanted to keep her (and Star), but her current living arrangements prohibit dogs.
Libby is a very, very young 10 year old! She is quite active and in great physical condition. Libby was raised with children and cats and gets along well with other dogs. She knows basic commands and really likes the frisbee. Libby is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Libby also has a microchip. Her previous owner took very good care of Libby and it shows.
We've received several pairs over the years and most are just fine going to separate homes. Based on what we've seen with Libby and Star, however, they are really bonded and would do best staying together. Even though they have two cushy beds to sleep on, they prefer sleeping next to each other on the same bed! Also, they get very antsy if the other is gone for even a few minutes. Libby and Star will make terrific additions to a family with another dog or with a couple of children. Do you have room in your family for them?
